Xiaomi to launch Mi 5S soon with 6GB of RAM and 3D Touch display

While Xiaomi's Mi 5 is barely months old in the market, a new report is mentioning that an upgraded version known as the Mi 5S will be revealed by the manufacturer soon. It is said that the handset will feature the same display size (5.15-inches) and even retain the same physical attributes. However, there will be some major changes made under the hood, apparently.

Xiaomi will supposedly use a slightly upgraded ultrasonic fingerprint scanner with the Mi 5S, along with 6GB of RAM and the Snapdragon 823 quad-core processor, which is an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 820.

But the biggest feature that the leak mentions is the 3D Touch display, which was shown off by Huawei on the Mate S and subsequently by Apple with the iPhone 6s and the 6s Plus. This could open a wide range of possibilities for the users, although the hardware feature would be useless unless the software is tailored to work with it.

Taking all these factors into account, we suggest you take this report with a pinch of salt. Given the popularity of Xiaomi, there's always a chance that this is a work of fiction by some hopeful fan.
